KGRK Happenings

July 11, 2007Today was a little more eventful than my last visit, although the airport was still a little scarce of aircraft activities. I took pictures of maintenance on 700’s PT6’s as well as many pictures of 701 as this is the aircraft I will be modeling. There was a lone Chinook across the ramp so I took a few pictures of it when touch n’ goes from the more often than not, annoying, T-1J’s were taking place. I also watched 701 take off on a flight to figure out a pressurization problem that may have been operator error. Gallery

June 18-21, 2007 The typical day at dad’s work is fairly uneventful with the usual commuter airlines departing and arriving. I see the same RC-12P/Q, C-12 (Vanilla), and Citation UC-35’s every time. However each trip is hit or miss on what might come to Robert Gray AAF so I try to go as much as possible so nothing has a chance to slip by when I’m not there. However, this week of going to work proved to be empty of special visitors. The F/A-22 Raptors departed just 10 minutes before we arrived on the first day. However I got to see a pretty cool looking bag that had a Raptor engine and nozzle underneath its cover as well as get a cool coin. Hopefully next time will be a little more exciting! Gallery
